REQUIREMENTS:

Matric or NCV Level 4 with a recognised 3 year degree/diploma in Education/ Administration  or equivalent qualification; 5 years’  experience in the Teaching and Learning environment/ related field; in which 3 years must be supervisory experience in the teaching and Learning environment/ related field; Knowledge of White Paper on PSET Act; Knowledge of the Public TVET sector and its regulatory and legislative framework; Knowledge and understanding of the Higher Education sector; Knowledge and understanding of COLTECH system, TVETMIS, and ITS; Knowledge of practice notes, national, provincial policy frameworks relevant to Education, Training and Development; Knowledge of Skills Development Act, Public Service Regulations. and Public Service Act, Labour Relations Act.


KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Manage the provision of examination services; Manage the training of invigilators, markers and data capturers; Manage the submission of examination data to DHET; Monitor examination processes and procedures; Monitor the college exam centre trimester/semester and year examinations cycles; Manage compliance with DHET examination policy and regulations by invigilator, student and chief invigilator; Develop college examination policy and terms of reference (TOR) for examination related committees; Co-ordinate meetings for before and after exams to discuss irregularities and develop strategies to prevent recurrence ;Monitor the safekeeping and distribution of question papers  ;Manage the establishment of both the Examination and Irregularity Committee at college level ;Monitor the Irregularity Committees at campus level; Manage the application of diploma and issuing of the certificates; Manage the processing, submission and issuing of all diploma applications; Manage proper administration of the examination unit ;Management of all Human, Financial and other resources of the unit

Management; Computer skills; Communication; Client Service; Visionary Leadership Abilities; An understanding of transformation issues and capacity building processes in the TVET sector; Sound knowledge of CET Act, policies and practices and any other relevant legislations. Good interpersonal skills; Good problem solving and analytical skills; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Ability to work independently as well as in a team; Planning, organising, leading and control skills; Research, report writing and presentation skills.
